What is a Death Certificate?
A Death Certificate is an official legal document that records the death of a person, including name, date, place, and cause of death. It is issued by the Union Council and registered with NADRA.
Why is a Death Certificate important?
It is required for inheritance, succession certificate, pension claims, bank account closure, and NADRA record cancellation.
Who can apply for a Death Certificate?
Spouse, son, daughter, parents, legal heir, or authorized representative can apply.
What documents are required?
Deceased CNIC (if available), applicant CNIC, hospital death slip or burial certificate, and affidavit if required.
Is hospital death slip mandatory?
Yes for hospital deaths. For home deaths, affidavit and burial proof are required.
